Random-Fandom Post and a MEME

Hi :D
Fair warning: random post is random. And probably won’t make any sense unless you already know what I’m talking about but I’m spoiler-phobic over here so y’all can just roll with it for a sec, OKAYE? Okay.

So, alright you guys. Am I the only one reading Homestuck? Today’s update just made me…like…honestly? I’m still kind of flail-lawling.

Oh ( Read more... )

Hmmmmmmmm. Well I find the characters with smaller parts in canon harder I guess because I feel don't *know* them as well as I know the main characters! Like recently I was writing Bowman in LFDH fic for the first time (and not just John and Matt as usual) and that was challenging.

As to the main characters I write often - it's a tossup between Dom and Brian I think. They're men of action and I can *see* them really easily in my head doing things, but for hearing and understanding - I don't think I have their voices nailed as well or their inner POVs/motivations as clear in my mind as I have John's and Matt's (and I had the least trouble at all feeling connected to Dean and Sam, I felt like I knew them from day one, before I even started writing fic). ...Never seem to have the same clouded vision feeling with Mia or Lucy for some reason. :)

Aw thank you.

Well check out the brain on YOU. That's a really good point! Of course I do like to think of Dom being more of a thinker than a talker (and Brian the opposite), but like I said what they both seem to be the best at is *doing* not thinking (OR talking for that matter) lol. Tough guys. And then there's Brian, who - let's just face it - is just plain reckless. :D

Mmmmm I always love the idea of Dom as a grounding anchor for Brian. And yes, he thinks and definitely plots and plans...but generally not so much with the waiting, no. *ruffles his curly, impetuous head*

Heh you're right about Dom too. "Brooder" is probably a better word for him than "thinker." :D
