I read there was going to be a second series but, for the life of me, I can't remember where, so I can't check whether it was a solid fact or a rumour, or somewhere in between!

Oh! That's interesting - I was talking to my mum about it yesterday (telling her to keep an eye out for it on Alibi) and I said I didn't know if there would be a second season given Kerry's only written 18 books and we've had 13 episodes so far... I was speculating whether she would write outlines for them to work from or just give blanket permission for more stories to be written that aren't going to be in book form.

Well, Kerry has already allowed them a few liberties with the plot, so fingers crossed!

Speaking of series news, I heard something about Sanctuary on an online interview with Amanda Tapping. Apparently, it's a bit of the mess because Sci-fi were in the middle of a change of ownership and nobody wanted to okay the series or let it go, and their shooting lot's lease came up and their backers were skittish about paying for a new lease when they hadn't got word from the sci-fi, so they had to put their scenery, props, etc into storage. Amanda said that sci-fi were now open to a mini series but they still have to get the money backers on board.

I'm now offically crossing my fingers!

Oh - thanks for sharing that. I shall pass it on to my friend tardis_mafia as she was saying recently that the lack of news on Sanctuary was driving her mad!
