I love you so much, because I love Four and you captured him well. "Really? Why don't you come and tell me all about it?" Classic Four, I can picture him saying exactly that, if he hasn't before. I have this mental thing, though, where I can't imagine Four having sex... I get kinda squicked out. That being said, I still love the way this effortlessly progressed. If he was to have sex *wince*, it would definitely happen like this. Martha is like Sarah Jane's intuition plus Romana's attitude plus her own sexy brilliance. Four wouldn't have a chance.

(Please write one about Five and Martha? Please please please?)

Oh gods ! Thanks for spotting that typo ! It's been a long day in front of the screen and I missed that one.. Doh !

Ah! Thank you SO much... I've still not re-watched very many Four serials and I was a bit worried that I hadn't really captured him very well 'cos he always seems a bit more forceful than this - hence my comment about Martha mesmerising him...

I confess I can't really picture Four having sex either - which is why it stops where it does ! ^_^

If you ever saw when Romana I first came on board in The Ribos Operation, that's Four in a nutshell. Proud to a fault, he sulks like a child when she says he's old and seethes at her knowing something she doesn't. At first he says she needs to go, but she tricks him by wounding his ego and he insists she stay until she sees just how brilliant he is. It's an amazing scene, one of my favorites in the Whoniverse.

He can be forceful, but only when he needs to be. I wouldn't say it's the trait in charge. I'd say that'd either be his curiosity or pride. (There's a reason Ten is often compared to Four.)

I haven't caught up with The Ribos Operation (*adds to the list of serials to try to get hold of and watch*)...

I'm just trying to think which Four serials I've watched this year: The Hand of Fear (twice), Full Circle, Robot, The Five Doctors (not that it really counts !), The Deadly Assassin and The City of Death...

But I see what you mean about him being proud - he certainly comes over that way on occasion...

Four is very in-character, even though I'll echo the posters who say they have a hard time seeing him as sexual.
