Well, as first halves of finales go, that's the best New Who one YET!
SPOILERS GALORE!!
Blimey! It's Vincent Van Gogh - what's going on?
- And now we're in the Cabinet War Rooms - it's lovely Bill Paterson, talking to Churchill. Already I'm really intrigued! Apparently they're looking at Vincent's painting...
- Now we're at the Stormcage Containment Facility. It's RIVER! Yay!
- LOL River's kissed the noob guard and left him a goodbye stick cartoon of herself! ROFL!
- River's gone to the Royal Collection - and it's Liz10!!! \O/
- Now she's buying a Vortex Manipulator in The Maldorium - fresh off the wrist of a handsome Time Agent - presumably NOT Capt Jack Harkness?! (Eep it's still ON the wrist!)
- Amy's sitting in the seat under the floor of the Console Room, looking at Rory's engagement ring...
- The Doctor's off to see a cliff made of diamonds on which are inscribed 50 foot letters no one's ever been able to translate.
- ROFL! "Hello Sweetie" and some coordinates in Greek! Oh River!!
- The Roman guard that greets the Doctor as Caesar's got River's lipstick on his face. That means she's here...
- AS CLEOPATRA!!?!?! LOL (Have I mentioned I LOVE River's sheer cheek?!)
- Oh wow! Vincent's painting is of the TARDIS exploding!
- That has to be THE longest teaser we've EVER had! Over 11.5 minutes!
- The painting's called The Pandorica Opens...
- Doctor: If you buried the most dangerous thing in the Universe, you'd want to remember where you put it - so you bury it at Stonehenge...
- River's introducing Amy to the true timey-wimey nature of her (River's) relationship with the Doctor...
- Blimey, there's a Cyberhead - and it's moving! O_O
- The Doctor grins madly at River and Amy before opening the doors to the chamber where the Pandorica is kept.
- And now there's a Cyberarm!
- River: I hate good wizards in fairytales - they usually turn out to be him [the Doctor]. *snerk*
- Amy's favourite book as a child was the legend of Pandora's Box. The Doctor observes that this and the fact that she loved stories about Roman Britain as a child can't be a coincidence - but he's too busy to ponder it. Got a bad feeling about him ignoring this coincidence...
- River: Everyone can hear it [the signal from Stonehenge], who else is coming?
- There are thousands of starships around the planet.
- Including Daleks? Oh fudge - I was hoping we'd miss them...
- Cyberships, Sontarans, Slitheen, Draconians, Drahvins - good gods, it's a roll call of Who aliens from the whole of DW history!
- The Doctor refers to the Romans as the greatest military machine in the history of the Universe. Interesting...
- Amy asks what good is half an hour - well, the Doctor saved the world in 20 minutes the first time you met him!
- Amy brings out the engagement ring and asks the Doctor if he's proposing to someone. He says it's a memory and belonged to someone he lost.
- Doctor: If something can be remembered, it can come back.
- Doctor: Does it ever bother you, Amy, that your life doesn't make any sense?
- Blimey! The Cyberhead's grabbed Amy with its brain "tendrils" and the Cyberarm's electrocuted the Doctor!
- And now the Cyberhead's shot Amy with a small metal dart...
- Cyberhead: You will be assimilated.
Amy: Yeah? You and whose body?
AND a headless, one-armed Cyberbody clanks into view. (Eep!)
- Rory! Is a Roman soldier? Whut? Thought he'd been erased from Time? Apparently he was sucked through the Crack instead?
- LOL as Eleven's just realised that's Rory! Awkward pause is awkward!
- Rory doesn't know how he ended up in Roman Britain - says it's all fuzzy.
- The Pandorica's opening!
- River, on the "radio" to the Doctor: You're surrounded. Have you got a plan?
- The Doctor tells River to fetch the TARDIS.
- Wow! The Doctor grandstands to the starships and everyone buggers off?!
- River asks the TARDIS what's wrong with her.
- Rory tells the Doctor he remembers that he was dying in the Silurians' cave, and then he woke up in Roman Britain with a head full of "Roman stuff".
- The Doctor (after giving Rory back the engagement ring): Get upstairs. She's Amy and she's surrounded by Romans. No sure History can take it. (LOL)
- The TARDIS has brought River back to Amy's house. Intriguing!
- The date and location comes up as Earth, 26/06/2010 - then the monitor cracks and a voice says 'Silence will fall'. Spoo-ky!!
- There are odd burn marks in the grass (landing pattern?) and the door of Amy's house is hanging off. Eep!
- River follows a signal up to Amy's room and sees her Doctor fangirl stuff. Then she finds a book on Roman Britain and the Legend of Pandora's Box. She says 'Oh no' - she's twigged the situation she's left the Doctor and Amy in is NOT a coincidence... (Knew the Doctor shouldn't have ignored that!)
- Rory's spotted that Amy's crying, although she wasn't initially aware of it. She says she's happy but doesn't know why.
- Oh hell! River's discovered that the 50 Romans she and Rory brought to Stonehenge are all in Amy's book. And she's found a photo of Rory in Roman costume, with Amy in her policewoman's costume.
- Something's wrong with the TARDIS, and River can't shut down the engines or move her to a different time zone 'cos there's an external force flying the TARDIS. EEP!
- Did the Romans just deactivate and reactivate, including Rory? Oh no, don't tell me! They're bloody Autons!
- The Pandorica opens properly.
- The TARDIS has landed, but River can't open the doors!
- Amy's remembered that Rory is her boyfriend.
- River's desperately trying to get the TARDIS doors open, using a chain...
- And there are Daleks, Sontarans, Judoon, Cybermen, etc all teleporting into the chamber under Stonehenge. This is Bad. This is extremely very not good! (To borrow Eleven's phrase!)
- What? The Pandorica is for the Doctor?!
- SHIT! Rory's just shot Amy with his Auton gun!
- River's still trying to escape from the TARDIS!
- The Doctor's dragged inside the Pandorica and restrained.
- The assembled aliens have apparently become allies because the cracks in the skin of the Universe mean that all universes are in danger, and the aliens have created a trap using Amy's memories so they can seal the Doctor inside the Pandorica!
What? WHAT? WHAT?
- River gets the TARDIS doors open to find a wall outside. She says 'I'm sorry, my love', and the TARDIS behins to explode! WHAT?!
- Hang on, where's the Next Time trailer?!
