From the BBC's Doctor Who website

Doctor Who has scooped a prestigious Writers' Guild of Great Britain Award for the Best TV Series beating Life on Mars and New Tricks.

In the presentation on Sunday 19th November, Series Three of the BBC One Drama was named Best TV Series. Gareth Roberts and Steven Moffat were in attendance to collect the award on behalf of the Series Three writing team which also included Russell T Davies, Chris Chibnall, Helen Raynor and Stephen Greenhorn.

On the one hand, YES! DW beat "Life on Mars" and "New Tricks"...

On the other hand, Season 3 had writing flaws that I really want to see corrected in Season 4 (note I say want, not hope - 'cos I'm not sure I believe it'll happen)...

So mixed feelings from me...
