Rating: PG-13

Summary: 30 Days in the life of Martha Jones
Disclaimer: I occasionally wish that I did own it!
Author Notes: I signed up to do mini_nanowrimo this year, and snagged 30 random prompts from doctorwho_100 which will form the basis of the 30 fics I write. Each fic will feature Martha and at least one other Whoniverse character, and the prompt will be included in the title of the fic.

This fic is a belated birthday present for voicegrl, and it's a direct continuation of Sentience.

This is also the last story in this particular series (thanks for reading and commenting if you stayed through the 30 days!). However, there will be another series of fics that will follow on from this one featuring Martha's adventures and encounters with Ten, Eleven and Twelve.

Once they'd got the bowl full of plant juice, Martha carried it carefully into the TARDIS kitchen and set it on the counter, then put a lid on top, just in case of accidents. Jack and the Doctor had both gone to wash their hands which smelled foul and were sticky from where they'd been bursting the plant's pods to get the juice out.

She had just filled the kettle to make them all some tea and was getting out the mugs when Jack walked into the kitchen.

"How do they smell?" he asked, holding out his hands.

Martha took both his hands in hers and lifted them up one by one to sniff. "Well, they smell okay," she said, "but - " She left the sentence unfinished, as she swirled her tongue around the tip of the index finger of his right hand, then sucked it into her mouth, her eyes on his the whole time.

"God Martha!" he groaned as he felt his knees go weak. He grabbed her shoulders and pulled her body against his before kissing her hungrily, sliding his hands down her back to clasp her bottom.

"You've turned into a proper tease," he told her huskily, before lifting her up to sit on the kitchen table.

She grinned up at him as she wrapped her legs around his waist. "And who taught me to be a tease?" she asked.

"Guilty as charged," he answered, wrapping his arms around her shoulders.

Martha slid her arms around his neck and pulled his head down for another hungry kiss just as the Doctor walked in. He didn't immediately notice his two companions, his mind being focused on making some tea, and then he spotted them and turned to go, but Jack's hand shot out and grabbed the Time Lord's arm.

"You don't have to go," the Captain said after he released Martha's mouth.

"No, I know, but - " began the Doctor, stuttering slightly when he saw Martha's heated gaze on him.

"But nothing," she said, reaching out to grab the Doctor's other arm as Jack pulled him closer. Then she reached up and pulled the Time Lord's head down to kiss him as hungrily as she'd been kissing Jack.

The latter manoeuvred himself away from Martha, then moved the Doctor into his place before pressing his own body against the Time Lord's, essentially trapping him between his two companions.

The Doctor groaned into Martha's mouth as Jack began kissing and nuzzling the nape and side of his neck.

"You've been wanting this all evening, haven't you?" asked Martha when she finally pulled away and had caught her breath.

"You definitely seemed jealous of your eleventh self," Jack said.

The Doctor nodded, apparently realising there was no point in trying to pretend since they'd worked it all out.

"You really are a silly alien," Martha said gently, wrapping her arms around his torso. "We both love you to bits, whether or not you want to sleep with us. And even if you choose not to sleep with us, kissing and cuddling is still allowed." She kissed him gently on the lips. "You don't have to deny yourself affection, you know."

"Martha's right," Jack said, turning the Time Lord around. "Will you listen to your Doctor?" He reached up and cupped the Doctor's face, then kissed him, remembering how he'd kissed the ninth incarnation goodbye, and thinking about how long he'd waited to kiss this one.

Martha smiled, her right cheek pressed against the Doctor's back and her arms around his middle, as he was kissed thoroughly; she could feel some of the tension in his body easing.

The tenth Doctor's TARDIS landed next to the twelfth's, and Martha carefully carried the bowl into the other ship, the Doctor and Jack close behind her. They found the twelfth incarnation slumped on the floor cushion beside the console; when he looked up, they all saw that he was pale, shaking and sweaty.

"Thank goodness you're back," he said softly. "I don't know how much longer I can hold on."

"It won't be long now," Martha answered. "Hang on a few minutes more." She headed to the kitchen with Jack, who immediately filled a saucepan with water and put it on to heat. She set the bowl on the top of the saucepan and took off the lid.

"I need to go and prepare a syringe," she told him.

Jack nodded. "I'll go and see how the Doc's doing."

Once the plant juice had been heated and then cooled for a few minutes, Martha drew a syringeful, then she hurried back to the Control Room. The tenth incarnation of the Doctor was kneeling on the second floor cushion, supporting his older self's upper body against his own.

Martha knelt down beside them, then gave the twelfth incarnation the injection; he immediately passed out and the young doctor looked up anxiously at the tenth incarnation.

"We need to get him to bed," he said. "Jack, can you take his legs please?"

"Sure." The Captain bent and picked up the older Doctor's legs, and they carried him through the corridors to the Time Lord's bedroom.

"Why don't you two go back to the party?" Martha suggested. "No sense in all of us sitting here to wait for him to wake up."

"Okay." The younger Doctor cupped her right cheek in his hand. "I'll come back in an hour if you're not back, and see how he's doing, but he should come round before then."

She nodded. "Go and dance with Jack, why don't you?" she said, smiling mischievously.

He shook his head at her, then leant forward and kissed her briefly. "All right, Dr Jones." He moved away towards the door, watching as Jack took his place to kiss Martha before the Captain joined him.

After they'd gone, she kicked off her shoes, then lay down beside the older Doctor, her left hand on his chest between his hearts.

Twenty minutes later she felt the Doctor stir and sat up, pushing aside the memories that she'd been indulging while waiting for him to wake.

He opened his eyes and frowned up at her, before his expression cleared and he smiled.

"Hello," she said softly. "How are you feeling?"

"Okay," he answered, sitting up.

"And how's the TARDIS?" asked Martha.

"Better, thank you."

"Good," she said, relieved.

He put his arms around her. "Thank you, Dr Jones, for being so magnificent."

"You're welcome."

He pulled back a little to look at her face. "You're looking less stressed than you did earlier," he observed, then blinked. "Oh!" He grinned. "I'd forgotten about you and Jack, and my tenth self."

"I'm sure I should be offended by you forgetting about that," she teased.

"Perhaps I can find some way of making it up to you?" he suggested, smirking.

"You know, I'm sure it's not my birthday," Martha observed.

"Does it need to be?" asked the Doctor.

"No, it doesn't."

"Good." He put a hand under her chin, then leant forward and kissed her.

"By the way, if I'm not back at the party within forty minutes, your tenth self will come looking for me."

"Let him," he answered, pulling her back down beside him.

Half an hour later, the twelfth Doctor's TARDIS had dematerialised and Martha wandered back into the drill hall, hoping that the quick application of the Sonic Screwdriver's setting 9965 had indeed got the wrinkles out of her dress, as the older Doctor had promised.

As she opened the door to rejoin the party, she saw the tenth and eleventh incarnations of the Doctor, together with Jack and Sarah Jane, sitting at a table very near the door; the younger Doctor looked up the moment she walked in.

"Is he okay?" asked the Time Lord anxiously.

"He's fine," she answered, "and the TARDIS. They've gone already."

"That's a shame," murmured Sarah Jane, "I'd have liked to meet him."

"There'll be another chance, I'm sure," Martha said. She was very aware of the fact that Jack hadn't said anything as yet, but he was smirking at her in a very knowing way.

"Sit down," said the older Doctor, "and I'll get you a drink. Actually, we'll all have another drink. Ten, come and give me a hand will you?"

"Nothing else for me," Sarah Jane said, "I ought to be getting back."

Martha hugged the older woman, then sat down while Sarah Jane exchanged hugs with the three men, then the two Doctors went to fetch some drinks.

"Martha, we'll have to arrange to have lunch one weekend now you won't be going down to Cardiff every weekend," the older woman said as she pulled on her leather jacket.

"That'll be good," she said.

After Sarah Jane had gone, Jack leaned towards Martha. "Was he good?"

Martha gave him a quizzical look and he leaned in closer to speak in her ear. "Dr Jones, you've got a certain glow about you that I am very familiar with. The tenth won't have recognised it as he hasn't seen it often enough, but the eleventh probably did, although I suspect he won't say anything."

She raised her eyebrows at Jack. "I'm sure I don't know what you're talking about," she answered.

He snorted, but didn't argue with her since the two Doctors returned at that moment.

"Martha, did you know Jo Jones is here?" said the younger Time Lord as he set down her glass.

She shook her head, then took a sip of her drink. "Do I know a Jo Jones?" she asked him.

"You met her when she was still Jo Grant," he said.

"Oh! I'll have to say hello before I go, then."

"And Evelyn was looking for you earlier," Jack put in. "She wanted to invite you to go and have dinner with her and Liz some time."

"Then I'd better find Evelyn too," Martha said.

"Someone's popular," teased the older Doctor.

"And why shouldn't she be?" asked the younger, bristling slightly.

"Down boy," laughed his older incarnation. "There's no reason why Martha shouldn't be popular."

The younger Doctor looked annoyed at being called 'boy', but Martha reached across the table and grabbed his hand in hers. "Ignore him, he's just trying to wind you up," she advised.

"And it worked," the eleventh incarnation said.

"Come on," Martha said, getting up, still holding the tenth's hand. "Come and have a dance with me."

"All right." He got up and allowed her to lead him over to the dance floor.

After they'd danced to three songs together, Martha and the Doctor went looking for Jo Jones, eventually finding her talking in a corner with Liz Shaw and Sergeant Benton; all three exclaimed slightly at the youthfulness of the Doctor, but once they got over their initial surprise, they soon began a series of "Do you remember?" conversations, to which Martha listened with fascination.

After Jo said she ought to be getting back to her hotel, and Sergeant Benton offered to accompany her, Evelyn joined the group, and the three women sorted out a mutually convenient date for their dinner.

"Would you like to join us, Doctor?" asked Evelyn.

"If I can make it, I'll be there," he answered, to Martha's surprise.

"Good," said Evelyn, sounding very satisfied. "Now, we must bid you both good night."

Liz and Evelyn made their farewells, then Martha sat down again with the Doctor.

"So you're going to come and have dinner with three of your companions?" she asked. "Or did you just say you'd come to be polite?"

He gave her a hurt look. "No, I wasn't just being polite. If I can make it, I'll be there."

"I didn't think you were that keen to see your companions in a domestic setting?" she observed.

"I wasn't."

"So what's changed?"

He shrugged. "Sarah Jane reminded me, after I dropped her off when we'd brought the Earth back home, that I have a big family on Earth. Therefore, I'm going to try to make more of an effort to see my family." He picked up her hand and held it in both his own. "Being here with so many old friends has made me realise that it's time to end my lonely god status."

"Well I'm glad," she said. "You've got a lot of friends who care about you."

"I know." He kissed her knuckles. "I think it's time I was on my way, and I know my older self is waiting to whisk you and Jack off for some R&R, so I'll say good night to the Brig, and to you and Jack, and then you can go and have some fun."

"Okay."

They made their way to where the Brigadier and Doris were just discussing making their way back to their hotel, and Colonel Mace was offering to get Private Jenkins to drive them there, rather than them getting a taxi.

"Time I was off, Sir Alistair," the Doctor said, giving the old soldier a crisp salute. "Take care of yourself, and you too, Doris." He shook hands with them both. "Colonel Mace, take good care of your people, you're doing a good job." He shook hands with the Colonel, who just managed to hide his surprise at the Doctor's comment.

"Thank you sir."

"I'm off too," Martha told them, and shook hands with the Brigadier and Doris, then gave the Colonel a salute, before following the Doctor over to the table where Jack and his older self were sitting and talking.

"Are you going?" asked Jack.

"I am," answered the younger Doctor. "I'll see you again though." He hugged the Captain, then nodded at his older self. "Take care of my companions, Eleven," he said.

"Oh I will, don't worry about that," answered the older Doctor, smiling.

Martha stood up on tiptoes and kissed the younger Doctor goodbye, then waved as he walked away.

"Are we fit to go then?" asked the Doctor.

"Ready when you are," Martha answered.

"Good." He smirked at her and she gave him a quizzical look.

"You're up to something," she said.

"And what makes you say that, Dr Jones?" he asked, his eyes twinkling with amusement.

"The grins on yours and Jack's faces," she answered.

"I have no idea what you're talking about," Jack said, trying and failing to look innocent.

"I bet you don't," she retorted, allowing the Doctor to take her arm and lead her out of the drill hall.

Jack chuckled, and the Doctor grinned, and she knew that they'd been hatching a plot while she'd been out of the way. She grinned to herself; she rather thought it would be fun finding out what they had planned.
