This was really good and I can't wait to read more. Rose is admittedly a bit OTT in this, but then, isn't she always? I always felt so bad for Handy in JE when, just after kissing him, she ran after the dematerializing TARDIS. I knew it could only really go downhill from there. I mean, yes, Handy looks like the Doctor, but he isn't -- he's some weird amalgam of the Doctor, Donna, and his own self. I hate stories that forget about that aspect of himself and I am glad that you didn't shy away from the inherent inner struggle that poor guy must have. I can only imagine that would make his relationships really difficult -- especially if Rose is expecting some sort of carbon-copy of the Doctor to grow old with (which honestly, that also assumes he hasn't had any emotional growth since she left, but with the exception of the weird reset-ness of the finales, he has changed -- which is honestly part of why I think he dropped her off in the alt_verse for no apparent reason in the first place: he'd moved on.).
Anyway, I can't wait to read the next part! You have me very intrigued!
P.S. Oh, and I love the idea of his semi-regeneration. Now I keep trying to imagine him with darker hair and green eyes (which must be a really pretty combination -- not that DT isn't already pretty anyway...).

Yes, she really was OTT, and thoughtless and selfish in the way she behaved during the S4 finale. Whinging on at Ten when she got him shot by a Dalek and he almost regenerated, and then bitching about having to look after Handy (not that I think Ten did the right thing there. In fact, I doubt anyone could convince me he did!)

Thanks!

I'd love to see David with green contacts and darker hair... Yum!
