Got to see the episode this morning. Not too bad, but I think they could have done the same storyline without Rose in it. I mean, really, where the heck was she coming from when the light appeared? The parallel universe? UNIT in our universe? I didn't get that bit.
I presumed that she was coming through from the parallel world somehow...
OK, UNIT accepted the Doctor as the Doctor, but would a top secret military organization accept somebody who doesn't give their name? Unless she was able to tell them things about the Doctor that convinced them? Or maybe Jack stepped in somehow?
I somehow doubt Jack was involved. I've no idea how Rose convinced UNIT - but I bet Rusty doens't know either!
As for Rose knowing how to reverse-engineer the TARDIS, I'm thinking (ahhh, dangerous ground, I know! :D ) that maybe the TARDIS may have helped her along there. Wasn't the old girl kind of responding, according to the one UNIT chick?
On reflection, I'm guessing it's the Bad Wolf link, and therefore the TARDIS-in-Rose...

Ah, so it's Rose's fault the universe is getting destroyed, huh? Making the crack between parallel worlds bigger when the Doctor warned people it should be closed forever. Obviously, she didn't listen to a word he said, did she?

Well I don't think it is Rose's fault - I think it's whatever Mr Big Bad is doing that's opened the way up for her to come through...
