Catherine Tate was brilliant. I love the way she showed us pre-TRB Donna, and the fact that she's always been a fiesty, fiery woman!
She was fantastic in this episode, she has to get some sort of award for this series. And go Catherine for proving everybody who thought she'd be terrible wrong!
the TARDIS dying (yes, very sad, but proof that Doctor/TARDIS is the ONLY ship that matters, heh!)
I nearly cried at that bit! *sniffle*
the reference to the labour camps and England for the English as if the BNP had taken over.
That really annoyed me that bit. The scene was fantastically played, but the fact that we'd suddenly turned into Nazis irritated me no end. And also, England for the English people? What happened to Britain? Why's it an attack on England?

Indeed - she definitely deserves a BAFTA - and can you imagine her reaction if she got one? :D

Aw! *pets you*

*nods* Definitely, she's just been so amazing this season. And Catherine would be beyond thrilled, bless her. :)
I presume that's Rusty's Anglophilia talking...
Okay, reading back, it sounds like I'm one of those people in that article who seriously overreacted to it. I'm not, honest. I just got into the story and got mildly indignant on my country's behalf. But I, unlike the people who wrote the article, know it is only a TV show. *eyeroll* ;)

Which article?
Given Rusty's habit of insulting pretty much everyone, who wouldn't get indignant?
The consensus is that it is a complete overreaction, and for the bit about David being Scottish, I hardly think that's relevant, but you're right, RTD does have a tendancy to insult pretty much everyone, and there were enough racial stereotypes etc. in that episode to get most people angry, if everyone took it seriously.
