It was so nice to see Ville happy and healthy, joking with the others and interacting with the audience, it's been a long time since he's looked so at ease and so happy. Someone threw the melancholy death of oyster boy (i think it was, anyway!) on stage and he started to read out of it which was very cool. He had a few different Bargain Hunt t-shirts thrown at him; i knew he'd get some of those after i read the kerrang interview:) The gig was completely worth the 10 hours queueing in rain and the cold i now have! I met some great people in the queue; it's fun to queue and meet new people, it's half the fun:)
I'm not sure I like the new O2 Birmingham venue. It's new and has no soul yet, and if you're queueing and need the loo it takes at least 20 minutes to go find one! the old carling academy was right opposite a macdonalds (and a waterstones!) i might buy a porter loo and put it outside the gig, charge 20p a go, i'd make money, i'm sure!;)
The stewards annoyed me a bit because they wouldn 't let the people at the front video songs; it's not like we were videoing it all, just certain songs, then he stopped us. hello--there were at least 3 people on the balcony with camcorders videoing the whole thing! ::rolls eyes:: but apart from that it was an amazing gig. They sang my favourites off the new album and a good selection off the old ones.
I also saw them in Nottingham, though we didn't queue so we were at the back, and they played Sacrement, so I was extremely bouncy:)
anyway, onto my photos.
please credit me if you distribute them elsewhere, thanks!
and some photos of the others too:
can you tell i was standing in front of linde?;)
