Pink, pink, pinko.

There was a time that I so hated this color. It mainly had to do with it being associated with the feminine attributes. Why not pink for boys? Would world come to its end if a boy wear pink? I can't figure out for the life of me, how dressing in pink could make a man less of a man. However, there is not such a taboo for women. I dressed in blue and took the most eccentric routes for a woman in school and society. All of this was because I didn't want to be regarded as a member of vulnerable and delicate sex, who is unable to concur men's world. But now I look back and can't help but think, I tried so hard to break the mold, not knowing I actually respected and recognized it. A brave woman wouldn't override what she really loves deep down, in order to be accepted in the so called men's world. She would embrace it carelessly of what is being dictated to her on the guidelines of dressing professionally.

This ranting aside, I just want to say I love pink and pinkos. However I'm not that brave to dress in pink in our office. So much for breaking the mold and concurring the men's world.
