Miho shoots Becky a look that says, plain as day, Are you surprised?

Becky just rolls her eyes in response.

"It's Becky and Miho, the girls who're here a few days ago. The, uh, gray ones? We need a word, if y'don't mind."

Miho presents the boy with a letter, still sealed, with a Basin City return address and postmark, then looks to Becky.

*opens the letter*

"We were sent by Gail, the woman who wrote that latter, to work here at the Apple," Becky says, losing the baby voice adopting a brisk, cold tone as a replacement. "However, we've found that our circumstances have changed."

[serra_inara]

"In what way have your circumstances changed, if you don't mind my asking?"

Becky maintains her cool tone of voice. "After we spent several days in this parlor, waiting for someone - anyone - in a position of authority to give that letter to, we went outside for food...and were immediately offered positions at the Bada Bing. We have no hard feelings towards the Apple, and hope that it's mutual."

Miho nudges Becky, trying to remind her Miho wrote to Dwight and Gail about their change in circumstances the day before.

"Our former employer and her...associate...are aware of this change," Becky adds, remembering that Miho had written Gail and Dwight to keep them updated.
