The Alexisonfire show was pure insanity and absolutely amazing.
"This next song we are playing is going to be our next single. We are shooting a video for it very soon." (That may not be exactly how they worded it, but you guys get the point.) I'm in the crowd screaming "Hey, It's Your Funeral Mama!!!" Then Wade was liked "It's called Hey, It's Your Funeral Mama". I died of happiness.
Pete, Ben and I ended up getting backstage after the show. And holy cow, we got to meet all the guys. They are the NICEST guys I have ever met. I've heard of how nice they are, but they really are great guys. So many funny stories. The security guard tried to kick Ben out for taking a picture but Wade saved him and told the security guard it "was cool", George spilled his beer on my arm (he apologized, but it didn't bother me at all, haha!), Steele insulted Pete, Ben got told by Dallas "that it wasn't a good time" when we went over to their "dressing room" to talk to them (he was joking, of course). I am probably forgetting lots of other stuff.
We got pictures, autographs, told them how amazing the show was and thanked them for coming here. We were pretty much the only people backstage and were just chilling out. It was great. Pete and Ben told them that they must come back and they agreed (yeees!).
Our friend, Wiest, was the guy filming the show and their adventures downtown, which will be on their DVD. Totally buying that when it comes out.
Best night of my entire life. I wish the guys still had their e-mails up on the website so I could thank them again for playing here and tell them how much it meant to me.
I'll post pictures when I become un-lazy. But my icon is one of my better pictures, I had to go up around on the side to get it though because we were pretty far back.
