[perseverance]

I've been told that my aunt is out of the hospital, but isn't much better than she was before. She's at home with an IV drip & a respirator ... thing ... because her lung is still not functioning properly due to the bacteria that's infected her system (which is what the IV is for). Originally, they were looking into either removing or simply cutting out a part of her lung to cut the bacterial flow and save her from further illness, however, because her system is too weak and her body is too frail at the moment they refuse to bring her into the OR because she might not make it out and they feel it would be best to wait and see if she can regain strength before doing something that drastic. She's upset and depressed about it, rightly so. I mean, she's been ill from day one of her life and I can imagine that she wants it over with, but we want her here with us a while longer so we're hoping for the best.

Despite that... I'm so relieved. A huge weight has been lifted and all I can say is - Thank the maker. ♥

All the pouring that comes with rain does indeed lead to rainbows after all. :]
