The service today for Jeremy's Aunt Patti's mother was really nice, small and not really that long, but it was nice. I felt a bit awkward being there, I had never really met Patricia before, neither had Jeremy (so he says) but we wanted to be there for Tom, Patti, Justin, Michelle and Jessica. Even so, it felt a bit strange to attend a service for a woman I had never knew beyond the few various times that Patti mentioned her or complained about her complaining about life, hahah. ._.
All the same, it was a nice service. The sympathetic part of me wanted to leave my pew and go give Patti a big hug during the service itself when she had burst into tears so loud it kind of echoed. She seemed to lost, kind of like she was hallucinating the whole thing or something when she first came in with Tom behind the casket. Kind of like she was walking through a dream, unsure of how she came to be there or why she was there at all. We followed them to Kally K's restaurant where Patti's mom liked to eat because they didn't want to have a refreshment thing at her house (Patti and her grandson Evan found Patricia dead in her own home on January 2nd.) Justin seemed pretty lost himself, as well, not as much as his mother though. We didn't stay at the restaurant. It felt weird. I didn't know anyone there, neither did Jeremy and we weren't immediate family either so it all just felt strange. All we wanted was to tell Patti to hold it together, keep moving forward and give her much needed hugs; which we then did.
After that we went to Mattress Giant and purchased a frame, boxspring, mattress and whatnot for a bed. Then we went to JCPenny to get some queen sized sheets (as we didn't have any and we bought a queen) and a plastic cover for the mattress of the futon we're getting rid of. Then we went to Voldemart (Always most evil. Always.) and bought a neat cabinet thing to conserve space. Then we came home and got rid of the brokenish recliner we had by putting it at the end of our road and then we napped ._.
We woke up cause Leslie came home. Oh! And when we woke up the chair was gone XD Pretty fast, if you ask me.
Anyway. That's all.
Now I'm tired as hell and feeling blah.
Here's to the New Year. Already grim. Sigh.
