(no subject)
So, as usual, nothing really exciting to report. The family has been battling a nasty cold and allergies the past few weeks. The husband brought the icky home about a month ago and it has slowly making its way around the house. *laughs* However, the husband has already started in on the wee man's Halloween costume. This year, wee commodore has decided on being Optimus Prime. We've already bought the costume, but the husband wants to "embellish" it. So far, he has almost finished constructing the canon out of plumbing PVC pipes and conduits, etc. He even tore apart a generic "space" blaster so that the canon will not only make sounds, but will also flash a light when triggered. He just has to fit the "guts" inside, make sure it fits the wee one's arm comfortably and paint it. I must say, it looks pretty damn good. :) We even bought the voice changing mask, but I'm not sure if the wee one will want to trek about the streets with it on while Trick or Treating. I guess plans for boots (or boot covers) are also on the drawing board. Other than that, we've just been still slowly putting the house back together after the remodeling. Efforts were put on hold a little bit while we were all coughing our lungs out from being sick...
