Hair and vacation report.

Yesterday, I went to lab with my hair up in a French twist... except for one long, thin braid behind my right ear. My husband is the only one who commented.

It's a bit late to mention, but my husband and I went on vacation the end of last week. We went to Busch Gardens (VA) and rode roller coasters a lot. *grin* Compared to last time (which was on our honeymoon!), I think my tolerance for being rattled or jerked around has decreased, but I still enjoy the swoopy parts. Wheeee! We got rather fond of Apollo's Chariot; it's really great for swoopy weightlessness.

We had a small attack of souvenirs, some more useful than others. I got a "waist bag" (I guess they decided that was a preferable anatomical reference) for functional reasons; surprisingly, the soft black leather ones were actually the least expensive, and I like this one. We also got t-shirts with these fun comic-book-cover style designs referring to two of the coasters; turns out a medium actually fits either of us nicely, so we can share. And... some magnets, other storage things, an adorably soft stuffed toy wolfpuppy, and a lightsaber. Some were presents. The lightsaber is for me.

Actually it is not a lightsaber. It is, officially, a "SuperGlowLightBlasterSword." But it has a silver-plastic hilt and when you push the button, the white blade lights up blue. Close enough for fun. Also, I think it's brighter than some of our flashlights.

Note: If you thought there was more to this entry earlier, you were right. I decided it was a bit scattered, and rambling on other subjects could come in later.
