It feels very familiar, and I think you may have posted it before - but I still enjoy seeing it again. :~) Calls to mind my own Pirates plot bunny, too, darnit. As with most of my bunnies, though, a one shot such as this wouldn't do it justice - I'd have to write a novel. *sigh*

I'm starting to wonder if I left it in a comment somewhere. Or maybe I'll find it if I dig through my posts starting when the movie came out.

Sorry about that. I have some that would require a longer story of a type I'm not sure if I can write, too. Elizabeth learning what piracy is really about, for instance. Will discovering that his new job means he has to ferry Norrington... and Davy himself.

That is excellent. You've got their voices down and the mood is just...so great.

I don't know that I've ever given feedback that's this pathetic before but, yes. This = really excellent.

How could I object? I mean, it would have been an unpleasant surprise if you'd excoriated me for writing fanfic, say, but that's a risk of posting it. ;) Considering you not only responded to the story but said you liked it and pointed out as successful something I'd wanted to show, I can't see being upset. *grin*
