New York is still big.
Also, because I only got four hours of sleep in the past twenty-four hours, I'm too tired to report on everything here. Maybe I'll go to bed soon. I don't need to wake up that early, tomorrow, though, because my second internship interview isn't until 2pm.
Despite being tired, I still managed to walk around Manhattan for a collective two hours. I went to a small bookstore to pick up a book that the publishing house that will be interviewing me made this year. Then I went to the Japanese grocery store upstairs where I picked up lunch (inari and chocolate-filled koala bear cookies, snowpea chips and curry buns for later) which I ate in Union Square next to the dog park. It was a nice day. I felt homesick, though, and a bit stuffed up. Gawd, I hope I don't have a cold. My throat is itching like crazy. Maybe it's all the travel and the, um, very little sleep.
I had an interview with some cool studio artists, this evening. One of them works as a full time professor at NYU. They are awesome and holy shit, I hope they didn't think I was a total space case. (Them: "What is your favorite illustrator?" Me: "Harvey Crumb! Wait, no no no, R. Crumb! R. Crumb!" [Really, it's Dave McKean and Jill Thompson, but I was too nervous to say them.])
I'm going to bed, now.
