Friday, I went to a writing (art, memoir, fanfiction, music, etc, etc.) workshop for one of the campus magazines of which I'm apart.
It was pretty cool.
Several people shared their writing, like poems, novel excerpts, and an illustrated story-fable-poem from this awesome first-year. I remembered that I have had a bit of trouble writing lately, then realized that that was the point of doing something like
NaNo isn't because you expect to finish what you're writing, but because you put the effort into setting aside time for yourself in which you can write.
Also, just found the mildly entertaining art alternative of
NaNoMango. Ooh... Ahh...
This weekend I headed over to Mansfield for the yearly haunted house in the
Ohio State Reformatory. The fact that it was a prison is creepy on its own, but actors in make-up jumping out at you from empty cells? Oh, bejeezus, I was screaming and laughing and running all at the same time. That's a haunted house.
