"Is immaculate trustfulness after all a source of sin?" - Osamu Dazai, NO LONGER HUMAN

I changed my icons around, and realized something important: I need to find new icons. These are all pretty old, even if I haven't used them in a while.

Also, a minute ago, I just finished a novel, No Longer Human, by Osamu Dazai. The only book I've read that's remotely similar is The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle, but they're mainly linked in my mind probably because they both take place in Japan. No Longer Human begins with a premise that has a sort of sci-fi feel, a man under the impression he isn't human, but the story is anything but. It's a tragedy with some of the strangest twists I've ever read in a book (again, reminding me of Wind-Up Bird Chronicle). In an odd way, I think it was a fitting book (or maybe a novella, it was super short) with which to end the summer.

Again, I'm back in college on Sunday, and have only tomorrow to finish packing up my stuff before pulling up my roots, and becoming a sophmore.

summer, college, books
