Great week of shows. Five in a row, lots of traveling. Towards the end of it we were all napping whenever possible. But every show, including the last one which was a wedding, went really well. Each one had people traveling from out of town to see us and requesting our original music. Not ever gonna get tired of that. The energy between the five of us was really positive the entire time too.

Yesterday I went with Kat and Guillaume to see No Doubt. Our seats were phenomenal. Dead center, five seats back. The Sounds opened the show, and they were a pretty solid band, very high-energy techy pop, hot frontlady. Then Paramore came on and all the Twilighters in the crowd wet themselves. Chris, Joseph and Becca had lawn seats and Becca said a girl behind her burst into tears as soon as Paramore started singing. Hailey whatshername did a great job though, and even though I only know two of their songs I really enjoyed the performance.

Then, mother fucking No Doubt came on. It was such an awesome show. Gwen Stefani looks like she's twenty-seven years old still.

I ran into my old roomie Sarah Thiel, who was just a few rows away from me. She took a few really amazing pictures:

The extra cash for the better seat was totally worth it. It was a really incredible show. Aerosmith is playing there in a month, and I'm already stoked about going to see them.

This week is another busy one--four shows in three days.

Thurs - 42nd Street Oyster Bar
Fri - Brightleaf Square (Durham); Napper Tandy's
Sat - Charleston wedding
Sun - Chris Moon's birthday - possibly playing in Charleston.

I love being busy. I haven't gotten much of a chance to write in a few days, but I've been recording vocals with Kat and working on a few freelance graphic design projects. Also I'm planning to meet a dude from OKC IRL sometime soon. He's younger--23--but he's also apparently into steampunk and robots and MST3K and other things that I think are important. If the only thing that comes out of okcupid is a new friendship, I'll consider it well worth the effort.
