Fan geekiness
Third trailer for HBO's upcoming "Game of Thrones" series released last night, and I am getting to excited I could pee my pants. Next week there is a 15 minute "Making Of..." special that will air next Sunday night, and I'm hoping they will put it online afterwards. Expect the show will air in April, and what a great birthday present that will be for me. Here's the trailer:

So wonderful seeing all these characters come to life! The Mountain fighting the Hound! Eddard beheading the Night's Watch deserter! Tyrion smacking that snivelling Joffrey! Dany meeting Khal Drogo! Wheeeeeeeeee!!!! Love the grey grimness of the Winterfell scenes and I think Sean Bean will be a fine Ned Stark. Feeling more confident about HBO taking this on.
Only a few qualms: no snow on the ground in the beheading scene. Jaime Lannister's hair - what is up with the short brown 'do? Where are his lovely golden locks that get lopped off in book 3? He's a little bit too modern looking for me in the clips, but we'll see...I'm so looking forward to this show!
