The other night Danny and I watched a hilariously awful version of 'Robin Hood' starring a young Uma Thurman. It was legitimately one of the worst movies I've seen in a long time, but I had to keep watching to get to the end. It seemed like the script was written by an English undergrad student who was interested in the Anglo-Saxon conflicts and wanted to take a historical look at the Robin Hood legend, but couldn't decide whether the movie was for kids or for adults. The dialogue was half-way decent at times, and vomitously hideous the rest of the time (Marian's speech at the end where she accepts Robin Hood as a husband because "he has brought springtime to my heart" was particularly puke-worthy), and the fight scenes were downright funny. Did you know that if you hit a guy in the chest with a big metal sword, he'll fall down and go boom? And that when Norman soldiers beat up on Saxon peasants, they just pushed them around a whole bunch? There was one guy with maggots coming out of his eyes sitting up in a cage, but that was the worst. All in all it was a rousing good time, and if you have Comcast On Demand and a lot of pot, I recommend Robin Hood. If you don't have pot, try alcohol. Seriously, all I could think of was Uma Thurman ordering herself to move her toe in Kill Bill. Seriously, gotta see this movie.

In other news, Anna and I will be in London on Saturday and leaving for Zimbabwe on Sunday night. With any luck, we'll even get to be part of that great ban on EVERYTHING that the British government has imposed for flights leaving out of any UK airports. Passengers can't bring anything except cash and plane tickets on the plane. That means no books, no gameboys, no walkmen, no cell phones, no NOTHING. Yeah, the ten and a half hour flight to Zimbabwe should RAWK.

If I don't post again, bye for a couple weeks and I'll have all sorts of fun stuff when I get back! Keep us in mind as we travel this hellish weekend, and pay attention to what's happening in Zimbabwe. See you in two weeks!...
