Oh, I see how it is... draw me in with the promise of a sick puppy story, and then bang... switch it around on me and throw in My Little Pony, instead.
I had a gnome druid in a game a few years back, little guy on a little pony, and the guys would always start singing that title whenever that came up. I swear gaming is just one long series of pop culture references, I hope I can clear it up enough for your man, should we finally get a game going.
As for Star Wars toys, I was surprised at not only the number of them Chris had, but the number that he still HAS. Sasha helped him sort out the horror that is his room, and in the process got him to make displays of all the MicroMachine models, the figures, etc, covering a few shelves on his desk and dresser. Pretty cool.
I will try not to push the baby one direction or another, but I do think I want her to have the anything is possible mindset, if tempered a bit with the knowledge that there is a lot of crap in this world to get past to get to the good stuff.
Oversimplified parental philosophy, but I think a bit of my cynical misanthropy will come through to her. Another whimsical wiseass, dissatisfied with the status quo, and hopefully working towards making her little part of this place better - that is something to look forward to, yes?

Defiantly something to look forward to. Your wee one watches and knows, she's bound to turn out at least as wonderful as her parents. Nothing wrong with keeping it simple. Your more likely to actually follow it that way. Very authoritative of you, I must say.
