Another laid-back day, just running a few errands -- post office so dad could mail some of his presents home; sears because dad decided that I need new, hypo-allergenic pillows; used bookstore; returning DVDs. Followed by dinner at the house of my pilates teacher and her husband, who are similar souls to my dad.

Once we got home, we watched Tuya's Marriage - a bittersweet movie about a woman in Mongolia.

Mostly we just stayed home and stayed warm, esp as dad and I are both fighting off colds.

Upstairs has gotten super-busy, because housemate P's brothers, sister in law, nieces (3 of them) and nephew, and her dad and his partner have all descended (although her oldest brother and his wife and the nephew aren't sleeping here) for their family Christmas gathering (which is traditionally celebrated several days after the 25th, so that everyone can get together with both sides of their families and no one has to choose. I've known her side of the family for years and they're all good people. It does make for a hoppin' household though....
