Scary things
I was sitting in a Buddhist temple when the tornadoes came through Thursday night. Khenpo-la showed up a little bit late: I wonder if he had been doing something for our safety. We sat down, meditated, and received teachings on the Seven Line Prayer as the wind howled outside.
There was a long chain of storms stretching across much of the state, destroying most of the town of Wadena and killing three people, but most of Minneapolis slipped through one of the gaps.
In other news, I thought I'd moved out of neighborhoods where dead bodies showed up regularly:

Body found in attic in south Minneapolis
An unidentified body was found in the attic of a vacant house in south Minneapolis late Saturday afternoon, police said.
Spokesman Sgt. William Palmer said that the gender was unknown, but that the body was of an adult. He said that the body had begun decomposing at the house in the 4400 block of 35th Avenue S., and that there were no obvious signs of homicide.
The Hennepin County medical examiner will conduct an autopsy Sunday.
Palmer didn't know Saturday who found the body or if anyone in the area had been missing.
