For Christmas this year... I thought I'd just work on my crafts a little late at night until I almost lop off a fingertip. (nods) Sadly, not a joke.
Good news: The finger is still mine, and it wasn't my index finger.
Bad news: It is the second finger, the longest one on my hand, the one to be first to touch EVERYTHING I'll be picking up at work.
It took about 30 minutes of pressure to stop the bleeding, and at one point the flap that wasn't =quite= detached was pushed back from the tip and... was a bit scary, to be honest. It's now safely back on as it should be, at least until it heals up and stops aching as it is now. (wry smile) Been slathering shealoe butter on it all day and letting it breathe so as to let it heal better/faster as much as I can. Three days of work to be followed by two days off. I'm betting that come Wednesday, it will be much closer to being ready to be trimmed.
