THE FANGIRL WITHIN
I want to stop and ask if I've missed something, really I do. What the HECK has happened and what the HECK is he wearing? Our beloved 500yearold i throwing himself around today in a strange STRANGE collaboration of black, dark red and brown leather and funny shoulder-things, looking like he's just walked right out of some dark Final Fantasy convention thing. Over time however I have learnt not to question his wardrobe and just let him roll with it. But there is one thing I will NOT remain quiet about. Gackt ...
WHO DID WHAT TO YOUR HAIR?!!??!?!?!?!?????!?!!?!?!?????!!?
C'mon Gackt, cornrows?!?!? And RINGLETS!?!??!?!? Ok people, you probably SHOULD see this PV just to laugh. Seriously, cornwors and ringlets ... and gackt ... just .... no. A Japanese friend of mine said that he looks like a prince. I still say he looks like a dick.
MOMENTS TO WATCH FOR
Well may we find peace that Mr-I-Have-Stupid-Hair can still throw himself around with all the emo-nicity he ever had. Look at him go!
At the kick-in of the last choruses though, watch the cool bird-gackt-window incident. I'm not gonna deny it, I perked up a little after seeing that ^-^
One thing I have to say though is that there were three big Gackt features missing for me - is it just me or does he not say "mou ichido" at all in this, or even "todokanai"? What is Gackt without his ichidos and todokanais? And the thrid thing - I see no wrist grabbing. ¬.¬ minus a thousand points Gackt, that wrist needs some love.
OVERALL
Bonus points because it is for Final Fantasy 7: Dirge of Cerberus. Anything involving FF7, especially Vincent, will instantly gain more appreciation from me. But it just isn't enough ...
*sigh* I really am fed up with being tired of Gackt's PVs. I want to open a brand new one and perk up and go "yeah, Gackt!", but it just isn't happening. I will sit here patiently and wait to see the next thing he comes up with, but I feel his PVs have lost their touch in the last 3 or 4. It is a shame to say that, and I can only apologise, but ...
7/10 (would be a 6, but I am FF-biased) (and the song is UBER catchy)
PRIZE
*sigh* hate me if you want, but I really don't feel that this PV deserves a prize. Therefore it's a toss-up between the cool bird thing and ChaCha. *throws prize into the air and watches the two fight for it before walking away sadly*
Moral of this lesson - Cornrows maketh not the man.
