STAGE MANAGER BABY!!!
I DID IT!!!!! not that it was very hard.. at all. but i'm gonna be a part of a new show. Midsummer Nights Dream. It's supposed to be HUGE, they're even getting the inmates to build our sets!!! thats how big its gonna be. FUCK!!! this is how happy I am!!! It feels so good to be apart of something again, even though i haven't even gone to the read through tonight yet. THey've only had one before, Lyndsay said, and he's still gotta work out the scheduleing and everything, so i'm not jumping in too late by any means. We open at the top of december so, it should rule. Lyndsay was my drama teacher in HS, and well he helped to give me the drama award... so he likes me, and he gave me the position, he said he was gonna SM it but he was gonna have a student or two ASM and he said i can keep them too. Its gonna be a lot of fun working with him as opposed to under him. I may or may not have had a slight crush on him in HS... Oh well.. he's like 35 now i think... haha. But its after school rehersals so i can still potentially get jobs at the school and rehersals are only a few nights a week, so i could do the Liquor store thing on the off nights, and i'll likely only get subbing jobs at the schools so i'll have time enough to to my course for athabasca. I need to get organized, get me some pencils and post-its and a binder... We're breaking down units today, and i'll get to meet the cast... they were all in like the 7th and 8th grades when i went to school there last, so i likely don't know many of them. anyways... soo happy about this right now. in less than 2 hours i'll be at my first rehersal!!!
