1. Watching BBC's Pride and Prejudice with someone who loves it as much as I do. Now, I love Pride and Prejudice and I've read the book and watched the miniseries many times by myself. But there's something about watching it with someone else who will squee and giggle and Mr. Darcy and bitch about Mrs. Bennet along with you. I've been watching the miniseries with my house mate and it's the best thing we've ever done.
2. That moment when you suddenly realise you're going to be just fine. Sometimes you find yourself in a situation that completely dominates you emotionally. It's all you can think about and even when you try to ignore it, it's always this hulking mass lurking right on the edge of your thoughts, not quite out of sight. It makes you miserable and you feel like you'll never be rid of it. Then, one day, you realise that you're OK. Mostly anyway. That thing isn't controlling you any more and probably hasn't been for a while. Sure, it's still there, but it's dwindling and with time it'll be gone. You're going to be just fine.
3. Murray Gold's compositions for the Doctor Who soundtracks. The man is a genius. Doctor Who has the best score of any TV show I have ever seen.
4. Love Actually. Such a great movie. I don't think it's ever failed to make me smile.
