Productive
So yesterday was a pretty good day! Despite the stupidity of people in the world, I got to spend it with Joanne as an early birthday treat, and even though she was sick she humored me and we got all sorts of things done. First she drove me to the DMV, where the stupidity of people was first demonstrated in the fact that when I sent in my driver's license renewal by mail form, I also had to send in a processing fee in the form of a check. They cashed the check. When I called to see what the damned hold up was on my license (as it expires on my birthday), they said they had no record of cashing the check. Even though when I looked at the check scan online it VERY CLEARLY SAID THEY CASHED THE CHECK. So I had to go to the bank, get a print out of the check (and a receipt of the transaction) and then GO TO THE DMV to PROVE TO THEM THAT YES THEY TOOK MY MONEY HERE IS THE RECORD. That was a bit of a pain in the ass. But luckily the guy I got at the DMV was nice. So I have a temp license until they send me what they owe me.
Then we went to campus because I had to drop off a financial aide letter to my counselor for him to sign to verify that I go to college so my bro can get his financial aide. After that, we ran an errand for Jo and went to pay one of her parking tickets. There was a cute bomb-sniffing dog in training there. German shepard (albeit a small one for a German Shepard). I still despise small dogs, but the medium to big ones that hold themselves well always make me want to squee and pet. XD
After that we went to the mall, where Joanne bought me one of the new Bleach randomized keychain mascots they're selling- I GOT KIRA!!! They NEVER make Kira merchandise. AND he's SO CUTE!! The big news of the day was that THE NEXT BLEACH PLUSHIE SET WILL HAVE AN IKKAKU. FUCK YEAH. It's school uniform apparently, and I was so thrilled at hearing that Ikkaku would be in it I didn't realize that if it's school uniform then YUMI MIGHT BE IN IT TOO. I KNOW WHAT SET I HAVE TO BUY IF ANYTHING. XD I will also go back and see if I can get an exact date for when they're scheduled to come in to the shop. LOLZ if you fangirls can't find it anywhere else I might be able to help in that respect, though this shop isn't the CHEAPEST when it comes to merch. But it's my local shop now that the others have closed, so you know. ^^;;
After mall went to Nicole's and looked at her pretty shiny stuff-- she gave me a Kyou Kara Maou mini clear file and a Saiyuki hand towel and a laminated saiyuki poster for my birthday! Thanks Nicole!!
We all went to eat Hurry Curry then, and the two dollar appetizers for happy hour are really quite good, despite the fact that my high cholestorol was supposed to mean cutting back on fried food. XD;; SO WORTH IT THOUGH. Thanks for treating me, Joanne! ^_^
Then it was to Giant Robot, where we looked at a photography book of toilets around the world. XD Some were really...gross. >>
Then came back to the apt and Kelly was back from home, so happy reunion there! She was playing KH2, but paused it long enough to give me my b-day present early-- ZoSan doujin! ♥; it's so cute they cuddle and pet each other when they think no one is looking and sometimes, sometimes I love the schmoopy huggle fests even more than pron. ♥ Thanks again, Kelly!
Random insert: Make a request from me-- characters, prompt, as usual. First five get a drab from fandoms they know I write in. I'm just inserting it here in the middle of my post to see how many people actually read what I write before making requests. Call it curiousity LOLZ.
After that we all cleaned out the horrific mess that was the fridge. I've never seen so many liquefied fruits and veggies before in my life. Scrubbed it down, and the only part that smelled really bad were the kidney beans Christine left behind- they were slimy, and when I opened the tupperware to try and save it the smell EXPLODED into me and Kelly's faces. After that, moldy red beans, moldy fruit cocktail, some nasty liquified fruit juice at the bottom of the crisper drawers, and the fridge was clean! We felt nice and bleached up after that, and it took me four or five trips to the trash chute to get all that stuff outta there. ^_^;;
Then me and Kelly watched the 7th One Piece movie and it was full of boobs. And Sanji and Zoro being gay. XD
All in all, a pretty good day. ^_^
Though now that I have Kira from the set of keychains I want to go back and buy ALL OF THEM. Though they're randomized so I'd probably get six billion doubles. >>
