“Happy New Year,” he replied after a moment, and for the first time in a long time, looked forward tomorrow despite the knowledge that he’d wake up aching all over.

There should be a 'to' between 'forward' and 'tomorrow' me thinks.

And in the last line, there's a typo: 'new' not 'knew'.

Other than that, I didn't notice any other mistakes.
