One Piece- "Weathering"

Title: Weathering

Word Count: 300 (oh the paring down of 200 words. LOL)
Warning/s: Stupidity? LOL
Summary: Nami knows when a storm is brewing.
Dedication: tsukishine’s request of sorts, I combined it with this week’s topic at onepieceyaoi100. XD
A/N: Tsuki’s prompt was “predictable vs. unpredictable”.
She’s studied weather patterns all her life-the ocean currents, air pressure, the effects of landmasses on weather, the moon and the tides and the winds.
She knows when a storm is coming.
And so it’s her job to steer the crew to safety, navigating them through each tempest they face on Grand Line as best she can.
Today, a storm is brewing.
She knows because the air suddenly changes around her- becomes charged-and two dark clouds begin gathering nearby randomly, seemingly out of nowhere.
“Great,” she murmurs, and watches Luffy strolling along obliviously, ready to walk right into it.
A storm is coming and her captain hasn’t the foggiest idea.
She sighs and grabs him before he can get any closer, pulling him to shelter just as lighting strikes, just as Sanji snarls and lunges towards Zoro.
Sparks fly as his heel glances off the edge of katana.
Zoro spins in retaliation, and it causes the winds to shift, rocking Sanji backwards.
Growls roar like thunder between them and as the maelstrom rages on, Zoro reopens yesterday’s wounds, raining blood on the deck.
From their refuge, Luffy wants to see-the storm sounds really cool.
Nami stops him because she feels the air shift again-another instant change in atmosphere.
Ten minutes in and it becomes a different kind of storm altogether.
Sanji snarls and kisses Zoro-sparks still fly.
Zoro spins and pins Sanji to the wall, rocking his hips hard against the chef’s.
Soon growls like thunder become lower, distant rumblings, and the blood from Zoro’s wounds is caught like raindrops against Sanji’s tongue.
Luffy wants to see-the storm sounds funny now.
Nami smacks him-it’s still too dangerous- and calmly navigates him through it.
She’s studied patterns like this all her life, after all.
