(no subject)
Had my "Ribbon Cutting" at my new store today. The mayor and all these people were there. It's always nice to have people from ALL over come look at all the work you did. What surprised me even more was the fact that my dad showed up tonight! That was pretty cool....my district manager sat there talking to my dad regarding how good I am at my job. Also had a lot of my employees talk to my parents regarding how I'm their favorite boss even though I kick their ass on a regular basis.
That made me really happy...I feel like my dad dosen't really understand what I do at my job and how GOOD I am at it. Hopefully he lays off me and realizes that I get paid as much as an engineer does (what he always wanted me to do with my life) AND i love what I do.....
Man....these last few weeks, I've worked 16 hour days EVERY DAY! I'm fucking exhausted! Sheila saw me today and the first thing out of her mouth was "Nina, I need you to buy some makeup...you look like shit". Great friends always are honest as shit to you!
Thankfully it is over....I just need to train my team right so they can be independent and let me work my 6 hour days like I used to! :) I'll be doing 10-12 hour days for the next few month's, but I'll be investing my time on a greater cause.
It's late...i gotta get out of work clothes and into the shower for bed.
