I've just raided the house, and found a whole bunch of really useful stuff! I think that's the best thing about steampunk... that you can turn everyday stuff into costume pieces! I doubt i'll use EVERYTHING I've found, but I've got some real potential here.
From Nathan's wedding tux (hasn't been worn since)
Some jewelry I found hanging in my closet
One of Nathan's necklaces
A lovely little piece Danie gave me
Here's an assorted batch of stuff I found in my jewelry drawer. Nonworking watch, the clover is metal, that IS a working laser pointer, and there's a little rose bead up at the top. That celtic necklace is one of my favorite pieces.
I was thrilled by this one. It's one of those baby spoon rings. My baby spoon, incidentally. :) And yes... that's the infamous kangaroo scrotum bag.
The roo sack is great! I use it for some of my Pern costumes, too. Love the wedding tux, I could really see that teamed with the other clothes you mention for a steampunk vibe. I think that's what's fun about steampunk ... you can really use your imagination; you're not locked into a set "look", such as when you cosplay a particular character from a TV show or film or whatever.
