Well, he did it. We did it. I feel such giddiness, such happiness, such hope.
I watch his speech, and I sniffled and cried like a little baby. I really feel like I'm a part of history, here. I will tell these stories to my grandchildren. That speech... America needs this. I need this.
Barack Obama has the potential to be one of the greatest Presidents this country has ever seen. He's got a challenging, difficult road ahead, but I think he can do it.
He has grace, class, and intelligence. THAT is why I voted for him. I think he is the salve this wounded country needs.
I beg of you, Barack Obama. Don't break my heart. Please. I can't take it if you do. I need this hope, don't shatter it. I don't think I'd ever recover if you did. Just try for me. That's all I ask.
