Twist and Shout!
So, my alarm went off this morning to signal me to get up and get ready for classes, and it played the lovely sounds of The Beatles. So... THAT was totally a fantabulous omen! My religions class is freaking awesome- the teacher is SO nice! I'm really going to like Introduction to the Bible.
I like my Russian teacher a lot too. He wrote these crazy Russian letters on the chalk board and leaned up against it, saying "You may have noticed that in Russian, a lot of letters seem backwards." Then he turned around, and he had "Kick Me" written on his back. He's a really nice, funny old man. I think I'm really going to like him and the class- though it will be crazy hard. H is n, p is r, and there are other crazy things I can't remember right now. I had lunch with Tom and Nick- two debate guys who take Russian- because Jeannie and Diane Y. were in Japanese.
The professor for my short story workshop has published one book of short stories, two novels, and has edited like five anthologies. The only thing I don't like about the class is that we can't write genre fiction, which I suppose will help me improve as a writer.
Tomorrow, I have archeology at 9:30 and my freshman seminar (the Analytical Methods of Sherlock Holmes) at 4.
In other news, I MIGHT BE ABLE TO SEE DIANE THIS WEEKEND!!!
