I'm sure that many of you have probably heard me yelling throughout the MUN campus,
but the "Harbour Haunt" is beginning to get underway again, and they need all of the help they can get.
The Easter Seals have gone through some huge problems this year, and the "Harbour Haunt" is one of their biggest fundraisers. They no longer can use the downtown location, so the Haunted-House will be in the Village Mall, this Halloween.
This is a PERFECT opportunity for students and people who rely on the metrobus for their transportation, and especially for those who need some to gain some volunteer hours for work, for school, OR just for a resume.
We are recruiting volunteers for Harbour Haunt, starting on Oct. 11th and running until Nov. 3rd, 2007. It isn't an every-day thing; you do as much as you can, or want, whenever you are able. There is an orientation session tonight, at the Village.
It is 7:00 pm, in the lower level (The former Wal-mart space!)
You can print off registration forms online, fill them out at the orientation session, or you can call Amanda to register, at 754-1399. It's a ton of frightful fun!
Please, guys.. It's for such a great cause, and we all know that you have nothing better to do. It will make Halloween SO special for some of these children, and you will have so much fun, I promise! You get to hang out with friends, scarethe pants off of strangers, and be a part of a wonderful cause and tradition.
If you can't, or won't, do this, maybe you can help out in another way...
The Easter Seals are also seeking donations.
If you have any of the items listed that you would be willing to donate to this "Creepy Cause," please call Amanda @ 754-1399.
Items: Overalls, Coveralls, PJ tops/bottoms, white bed sheets, button up shirts, rubber boots, fleece jackets, mannequins, gloves, canes and wigs. All items donated will be used for creation of creepy spooks.
