[call her crazy, but Elle's settled into one of the cars and is currently milling through the rest of the train, trying to get a signal on her cell phone]

All I want is one bar... one half a bar, I'll settle for just the little AT&T logo... something.

§ dropped - elle bishop (supernatural), § dropped - sam winchester (bioshock), § dropped - kyon (pokémon)

I'm afraid that won't work... This stupid train has worse reception than the caves in Mt. Mortar...

So I'm noticing. I guess I can just look for a laptop, see if someone can let me borrow it.

I was expecting an email from someone. [glances to the person] Sorry, manners, I'm Elle. [extends the phone-less hand out]

Nice to meet you Elle, I'm-- [Hey, what's that blue thing behind him?] WOOOBBUFFET!! --... and that is Wobbuffet. He always seems to do that when I introduce myself... Anyway, you can call me Kyon.

[she's gonna take a tiny step back, since she didn't expect that at all]

Wow. Is... is it alright? [eyes it curiously, she's seen some demons in her day and they haven't ever looked like that]

Yeah, he's fine. He's just noisy. And doesn't seem to like staying in his Poké Ball like any normal Pokémon does...

His Poké Ball. [And he holds up a little red and white ball with a button on the front.]

Back home, we use these to catch and contain wild Pokémon. I'm what you'd call a Pokémon Trainer.

[looks at it and is pretty sure she's not going to understand what that actually means, but nods politely anyway]

Okay.

So you said you can't get service either?

That's right...

[And before anything else, he points his Poké Ball at Wobbuffet and says "Return", causing it to disappear in a flash of light, after putting the ball away he takes out an item looking like a cross between a mobile phone and a wristwatch.]

My Poké Gear. No phone reception, no map data, no radio... No signal at all.

[watches that happen, and yep so not understanding that at all]

Huh, maybe it's all the steel of the train. It did seem endlessly long when I was trying to find a sleeper car.

I don't think anyone has been able to prove that the train is of a certain length. They never found the end.
