She's sitting in one of the seats, looking out the window. Sighing.

"Could ... Someone just tell me why the thing hasn't stopped?"

It's really all she wants to know.

It doesn't stop.

*Nick is leaning against the wall of the car, further down from her but close enough to be in ear shot. Unthinkingly, he's checking over one of his Sig 9mm, still unwilling to believe there's nothing dangerous on a train that never ends*

"Well that's just wonderful," She pauses "I had somewhere to be."

That's kind of a lie, as she was just heading to school and she didn't need high school anymore. She looks over at him.

"So ... Who're you?"

*He says this as he shoves the clip back in place with an audible 'click'.*

A lot of people had some place to be. Me? I was going on vacation after a job I had to get to.

*smiling a little, though it's not one of his usual charming ones, he looks at her* Guess I can count this as my vacation now.

"Serena."

The gun doesn't scare her, she's faced worse.

"Sucky vacation," she says, leaning over the edge of her seat to face him, look directly at him with her large blue eyes. "Isn't there anything interesting to do around here?"

She needs to not be angsting all over the seats, after all.

*Will walks in after taking his little tour which took a lot longer than he would have liked and nearly got lost along the way, if that was possible. He strides in with his cane in his hand and a weary look on his face as he takes his seat across the way from the newcomer.* Dear me...this train sure has no end to it at all. Heh heh, I suppose that goes without saying that when someone sings "The Song That Never Ends" they thought of this train. Ha ha!!

Serena frowns.

"Great," she keeps looking out the window and sighs.

She couldn't look more troubled even if she was trying.

*looks over his shoulder and grins* You know, if you needed to be in that one place you would be there, but being here means that you're really not needed there. I find that the journey of learning and understanding your surroundings is what makes the trip of life that much more fun. Woulnd't you agree?

She finally looks at him and ... Stares a bit. Who would have expected such knowledge from ... Such a strange, strange man.

"I guess so," she answers tentatively. "To put in short, it's the journey, not the destination that matters?"

[Okay he was trying to sleep here but a nagging voice breaks through whatever pleasant dream he was having for once.

Lavi opens his eye with a glare and without moving his head he looks around for the source.] It doesn't stop. Ever.

"So we're stuck here?" She asks without asking, she doesn't look at the voice.

"That's just wonderful."

[Lavi gets up and picks up his ATs from where there were resting on the floor next to him. They get slung over his shoulder a bit noisily.]

You're telling me. If I could just find the damn park car I wouldn't care too much about being stuck.

She notices the noise and picks him out. She looks at him funny.

"Park car?" Is she supposed to know what that means? Serena's not always the brightest but she's not retarded so ... Hopefully that wasn't common sense. She might be staring at the AT.

[lounging in a corner seat, staring out the window, too. train rides are boring, and Kanda's not one to wander much]

Train rides are boring and she'd gotten used to taking one everyday to school, bu she wasn't sure she could handle being on one for this long.

She sighs.

"Well. Wonderful."

[Kanda hardly ever rode the train. ATs were just for show, they were pretty useful for getting from point A to point B.

grumbles] Che. Stupid leader. Take the train, he says. It'll be safer.

She smiles a bit.

"Nothing's safer than your own two feet," she comments. We swear it's not an ironic statement at all, given the whole AT thing.

Suzaku pauses by her, his eyes slanting over thoughtfully; finally he sighs a little and offers her a faint smile. "Apparently, it's just... what this train does."

He doesn't exactly sound like he likes this -- or even accepts it completely. But it's what he's been told by everyone he's asked, so he might as well pass the... 'wisdom', such as it is, along.

She tries to smile back.

"That's wonderful, then again I'm only pretending I had something interesting to do, so." She lets it stop there, unsure of what to say.

If she wasn't so awkward around boys now, she'd introduce herself.

I feel the same way about Usagi/Serena. <3 *stalked your userinfo, yeah*

"...Ah." He pauses, looks towards the door of the train, but -- it's not like moving from one train to another has been getting him to the front of the train any faster. He can spare a few minutes here with an unhappy teenage girl.

"Well," Suzaku offers her with a small smile, "I don't know how many people here were trying to get somewhere interesting. Most of them are probably just like me... late for work. That doesn't mean we don't get to be frustrated that we're here instead."

Gentle, all of it; he's good at gentle.

And good at overcoming other people's shyness, too. "I'm Suzaku."

She peers at him curiously and then laughs, "going somewhere?" Her tone is wry.

"Technically, I'm officially late for school," she mentions offhandedly.

Her smile is a bit more genuine this time. He seems nice.

"Serena," She offers a hand.
