[Shinji is about to die. That considered, he doesn't look that bad. His breathing is quieter than normally, but it's steady, and the same goes for the beat of his heart. There are a few cues, though, that give his state away: he is very pale with sunken cheeks, red eyes, he has become thin and you can easily see that even through his clothing now. There's not much time left. He's not in pain. He's ready.]
