No, I haven't dropped off the face of the LJ earth...

I know it's been so long since I've actually put up an entry, and even longer since I put up one that wasn't a survey, but here's a little info... sorry for the randomness...

I can't believe that my NCCC graduation is THIS THURSDAY!!! I'm not sure if it's fully hit me that my AmeriBubble will be popped in less than 49.5 hours and that I'll be home by the end of the week. I've done most of my packing and surprisingly, I don't have as much stuff as I thought I did! (Thank God that my parents are driving down w\ the van or I'd be in a big pile of poop w\ shipping stuff home!) Nevertheless, it's craziness -- saying bye and doing everything "one last time" and all -- I'm gonna miss everyone soooo much!

A small briefing on where I've been...
And I'll start from the beginning...
Projects: Baxley (GA), Little Rock (AR), Soddy-Daisy (TN), North Charleston (SC), Naples (FL)
Road trips/vacations: Savannah (GA), Atlanta (GA), Memphis/Graceland (TN), Singer Island (FL), Okefenokee (GA), Miami/The Keys (FL)

As of Sunday night, my cousin, Brigid, is engaged! Like I didn't see that coming for the past 5 years...! Yay for her and Scott!

My upcoming schedule...
Arriving home on July 2nd
July 24th -- my annual summer partee :)
August 6-15th/16th -- going to Angel's wedding in Ohio, then going out to Chicago for a week -- yay!!!
October 19th -- my tentative departure date for the Peace Corps!

The deal w\ the Peace Corps...
Long story short, at the end of April, I was nominated for a computer education position in Africa. Where in Africa, I don't know (they don't tell you which country when you're nominated), but I know it's NOT Western Africa b/c the main language there is French and my recruiter told me that my country's main language is not French. It's all tentative right now, though -- I gotta finish the medical clearance process first (I want to send in all my paperwork before I leave Charleston). I'm guessing that I'll probably receive an official invitation (w\ what country I'd be going to) sometime in August, so I'll keep ya posted on that!

Okies, I gotta go -- Unit Meeting in a few mins -- and I hope I find my camera soon! *kinda worried*
