Vaca can't come soon enough
So Thursday I will leave all this turmoil behind and go on a good old summer vacation! This coming weekend we have my family reunion at Elk Lake in the Adirondacks, a trip which my cousin fondly refers to as Cub Scounts.

We will hike, canoe, sit on the porch and read, maybe fish, I'll prolly do yoga on the porch at sunrise by myself after all my cousins and my sister assuring me that Of Course they'll get up early to do yoga, play cards and music, and EAT. The lodge feeds us well, so we will be well-fueled for all the other fun!
We'll leave there Sunday, maybe Sunday night hang out with renospalace, and be home Monday morning. Then we fly out to Atlanta, where we will spend a couple nights in a B&B by ourselves, and then shepholland's brother Pat and his wife Maggie will join us for a couple more days. We'll see Atlanta and hang out. Then on to the Smokey Mountains! We have plans to hike the southern-most end of the Appalachian Trail at Springer Mountain

and then we will catch up with the Holland family reunion at Big Canoe!

And then fly home on Labor Day with all the other poor fools. Should be pretty great. I need some time away SO BAD.
And in other news, the Yanks completed their sweep of the Red Sox, 5 games to none, putting us 6 1/2 games ahead in the league. The Yankees Universe will roll the Red Sox Nation!!
