It was so hot today...LadyD got heat tired (not quite sick, but close). We were running around, in and out of the air conditioned car and air conditioned buildings all day. I got to drive ;-)
We were shopping for a party LadyD is catering on Saturday. It involved cheese tasting...mmm... Mimulette, I think is the name? Orange colored tasty tasty :-) Got some for myself, I did!
Also found a lovely fruit stand, in town even, where I got 2 lbs of Rainier Cherries (oh, my...they are the best!) and three white nectarines for less than $4. Mm, nummy!
Tomorrow I have a phone interview! Woo hooooo! And a big thanks to ActuarialMan who got my foot in the door. *crosses fingers*
It is supposed to be in the high 90s this week...100 forecast for Sunday. Ick and double ick! The party (I'm an invitee) on Saturday is at a park, but the inside part has airconditioning. And there will be good food, naturally ;-) Oh, and Alec James will be playing. I like his music, and his new voice :-) Can't hit the high notes anymore, but the deeper tones are quite lovely!
What else...oh, doing a pinch hit story for AiA :-) Kind of cool, actually. Which is good, because, while I had a great plot for my Glorestor...it won't be done in time, so I am considering writing something short and quick. (I have an idea...not as complex as the other, but should be cute!)
Anyway. That's me in a nutshell today. Plus, retaining water from the heat, knee doing weird things (I keep hyperextending it) and just plain too warm. But my spirits are high! *grin*
