Strangely enough, a large package and letter were delivered-- one each to Lavender and Anthony, the Monday before Christmas-- in Muggle fashion. The kids could refuse to sign for them if they wanted, but, assuming they didn't, the letter reads as such:
Dear [Anthony or Lavender],
Doubtless you have heard all of the sad news surrounding our daughter, Sally-Anne Perks. We understand you may be very angry or upset with her, and that is completely understandable; if you wish to send the package back, we will pay for its return shipping. Please hear us out before you do though. Sally-Anne requested we send this particularly to you; she thinks of you very highly and feels you to be one of her best friends. She really loved playing in the band-- all she ever did when she got home was practice all of your songs.
We think that's why she wanted to send this to you. She said she'd like it to be kept safe, and she felt you could use it better than she could for the next little while. She picked it out of her collection specially for you. We do hope you can enjoy it.
Lastly, we've been told that mail is now allowed to go in and out of Azkaban-- monitored of course-- should you wish to send her anything. We know she'd appreciate it very much. She's very sorry for everything, and these will be hard times where she could use a good friend like you. Please think about it.
Have a wonderful holiday,
Bill and Mary Bluth
Inside the package is, of course, a guitar from Sally-Anne's collection that she felt best fit each of them.
