appleboy scored some tickets, so yesterday
stpaulcub25 & I went to a taping of the new upcoming Suze Orman special to be used by
PBS for their March pledge drive. I was a lot of fun, I really enjoyed it. When it airs, keep an eye out, you may spot me in the audience. I was in the second row center.
Some of my friends are a bit put off by Suze's rather flamboyant approach, but I like her. Girlfriend makes a lot of very important points about managing our finances. I encourage all my friends to watch her show, particularly the PBS Specials, and listen to what she says, even if how she says it can be a bit hyper at times.
One of the major points of this show was the importance of making good financial choices and the impact that credit scores have on practically everything these days; and teaching our youth what they need to make a furutre for themselves. In this case she's speaking to today's youth, people in their 20's and 30's who are entering the workforce, but can't hardly afford housing.
What was also fun, was seeing what goes on off-camera as well. She would just talk to us, sometimes expressing slightly more frank opinions than would be aired on TV.
Free Credit Report & Score
By law, US residents may request one free copy of their credit report from each of the three major credit reporting companies per year. The following web site has been set up to facilitate this distribution of said information.
Annual Credit Report (sponsored jointly by Equifax, Experian and TransUnion). Presumably to prevent a tsunami of requests from hitting the reporting reporting companies at the same time, the reports will become available based upon your state of residence.
