On Monday night I went to go see "Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale" at the
Lagoon Cinema in Uptown. I highly recommend it! It's a Finnish independent film, very off beat, and very good. It was based on a short film that obtained some cultish status on the Internet and a favorite of mine. I recently discovered that they then made a sequel short film, and now a full movie. It's only showing for one more night, so if you can make it on Tuesday, go see it. Its content is not appropriate for small children, Brittany from
Glee, or others who still believe in a benevolent jolly altruistic philanthropic personification of capitalism. It's in a mix of English and Finnish with English subtitles.
