Tay Zonday

Okay folks. I need your help here. Sometimes I'm fashionably ahead of my time, other times I'm way behind. Sometimes, both (for those times when it's all just a little bit of history repeating). Sometimes I don't know which I might be; this is just such an occasion.
We are the music makers,
And we are the dreamers of dreams,
Wandering by lone sea-breakers,
And sitting by desolate streams;-
World-losers and world-forsakers,
On whom the pale moon gleams:
Yet we are the movers and shakers
Of the world for ever, it seems.

I just found out about our local star, Tay Zonday and his wonderful music. In particular, this gem called "Chocolate Rain". How did I miss this? What a crazy wonderful vocal quality. Clearly it's been out for a while, to have so many parodies of it, but in terms of the eye of fashion, how current is this?
