grown ups sometimes get their fill of sleeping pills

hi. a lot has happened since my last update, as i guess you could assume from the fact that it's been 10 days since i wrote in here.

last wednesday i went to a lovely dinner (at my restaurant) with skinny Peter. we finally got to talk and catch up and be ourselves, which was nice. better than nice. what was NOT nice was the fact that tyler was working at the restaurant that night and practically flung himself on the ground and threw a fit like a huge baby. he was so immature, i was pretty much ashamed to have goneout with him. plus he stared peter down and gave him some serious dagger eyes, so i was just happy that i only had one day of work left to deal with him.

on friday, my friend thomas from notre dame came to dallas for a visit, so christa and i tried to take him around town to show him fort worth. except we were the WORST hostesses ever and had no clue what to do. in the end, we took him to the omni theater to see a movie about the Nile. then downtown to Barnes and Noble, Billy Miner's for dinner, Marble Slab for dessert, and just a general tour of the place. I think he really liked it, but even if he didnt - i did. so ha. afterwards we went to drew's apartment for one of the larger parties of the summer. thomas seemed to enjoy all of my friends, and they seemed to like him too. and most importantly i took a lot fo pictuers of that night.

and the dancing. ohhhh the dancing.

boys in midair

and end with a handhsake. job well done.
and yes, pete was dancing with a piece of pizza in a lot of those pictures. just in case you were wondering.

he makes me take the nixon one every time now.

on saturday night we made the rounds to two parties before heading back to pete's apartment for the night. that was sadly my last night of partying with my boys. but i got drunk, had a great time, and spent a few hours snuggled between two of my favorite latinos, thus fulfilling my three main goals for the evening. and for the summer.

sunday was sweet as hell because it was the first night all summer that i spent out at pete's or drew's and DIDNT have to drag myself out of bed at 8am to go to work. not having a job is the coolest. however not having plans is not, and i ended up staying home and packing all day sunday. suck.

monday inevitably rolled around and i took ms. anita to lunch at some fancy cafe place in fort worth. afterwards i said goodbye to skinny pete at his house and went over to pete's to hang out and wait for all the other boys to get here. and i waited. and i waited. and i bought plane tickets to rome online (fuckin sweet, huh?) while i was waiting. and i waited some more. finally mark, paul and danny came over, and the four of us and pete went to Ole South for a midnight breakfast. there it was decided that the boys would come back to my aunts house with me and have a slumber party until 4:45am, at which time they would take me to the airport (my aunt and uncle were out of town on a cruise so i had the place to myself anyways). oh man it made me so happy. call me corny but it was exactly how i didnt know i wanted my last night to be. it was just... perfect. we just all piled onto my aunts bed and talked about the summer. ♥ times a million.

as for life back in dayton, i will say this. thursday, for my brother's 16th birthday, we made a horrible mistake. we went to the Ohio State Fair. if any of you have been to the Texas State Fair recently, youll know what i mean when i say that nothing can compare to it. expecially not OHIO. suck suck suck. it was about 6 times smaller and at least 17 times shittier. it made me miss home a ton, but it's tradition for us to go to the fair together every year so im glad i got to spend the day with my family. unfortunately i had to learn the hard way that the Ohio State Fair could double as the largest concentration of unattractive people i have ever seen. it was like going to a dog pound, except it was for humans.

and instead of posing with Big Tex, we posed with this large cardinal. gay,

apparently my family becomes incapacitated while getting automatic foot massages, and my mom just has orgasms.

who thought it was a good idea to name a ride "Spiderman: Power Tramp"...

the men eating baklava (i dont know how to spell it, but it's that Greek dessert thing)

most importantly, we got to see fireworks. i liiiiiiiike fireworks.

on friday my godparents, their children, and their parents all came to visit.

we celebrated david's borthday. cute kid.

i want to be a kid again so badly.

and i also want to be this beautiful. when i was her age i was going through that horribl "awkward phase." which i hope i am still going through.

let's see if i can make this post any longer. i have started reading the 5th harry potter, which makes life so much better because whenever im bored i at least have something to do now. and ive started shopping for greece. today that included jeans, a really cute shirt, and a bathing suit. i think greece is really just a big excuse for me to buy things. and iiiiiiii dig it.

one week.

c ya.
